They average out large regions, rely on a single data source, and present a forecast with false confidence even when conditions vary dramatically street to street. rejn is built around hyperlocal accuracy — pulling from multiple weather data sources and aggregating them rather than trusting any single feed, so that what the app tells you about your specific location is actually representative of your specific location, not the nearest big city forty minutes away. rejn also carries something the team is genuinely proud of: it is the first weather app in the world built to be aniridia-friendly. Aniridia is a rare condition affecting the iris of the eye, and people living with it experience extreme light sensitivity, making high-contrast, glare-heavy interfaces — which most weather apps default to, full of bright sun icons and stark white backgrounds — genuinely difficult and sometimes painful to use.
